I still paint my nails but I've just lost the passion currently to blog and need to get rid of a lot of polish considering after pulling all this from my collection I still have a good 600+ polishes in the helmers... I had the perfect idea to use OPI Skulls and Glossbones with the girly skull from konad since you know gloss girly classy :) I used CC Revvvolution for the stamp color and Skulls and Glossbones is a boney kinda color :)

This is 3 coats of Chg Skyscraper and my stamp is I think Chg Sci-fi. The witch design is from bundle monster. I thought te design and color kinda went together perfectly since witches fly and all :)

Ohhh ahh pretty sooo late to the party! I've had Chg Strawberry Fields since it was released and for some reason I'm just now using it, I have to stop doing that! This is 3 coats of pink perfection.

I like all these pics! The hello kitty is a cube that its into the square hole in my cube dash..I'm not sure what its for but a gal in the cube/car forum makes these :)

Holo holo holo! I love holo's. This is 2 coats of Color Club Worth the Risque. I was super impressed at how little draging there was and how well this is wearing. Normally holo colors chip likeno bodies business. I did use a sticky base coat this time so maybe that's what is helping.

Can you ever go wrong with holo?! Rainbow on my fingers!

I think we all know by now I'm really slow when it comes to "new" colors. I buy them but then I just never get around to using them and feel like I should be using my others. I should probably get over that considering how many awesome polishes could just be waiting for me...oh like Milani Molten Rock! This rocked my socks ladies, seriously! This is 2 coats of Nubar Verde, excellent formula. I love green. I love foily finishes. Verde is a dark forrest green to me with gold finish which is an auto win for me. Yay! Might just be my favorite Ubar. What's yours?

Here is 3 coats of petites color fever in fairy pink, I got this at Rite-Aid. I really like how subtle this one is with the lovely holo. It almost looks like the holo gives the pink a silvery/gray tone to it. Its perfect.

I don't have the name of this Claire's mood polish since the sticker fell off but its a pinky-coral shade when I'm freezing and a nice peach shade when I'm warm. I love watching the tips go from the pretty peach to coral. This is 3 coats :)

A purple I LOVE! This is 3 coats of Chg Senorita Bonita and my goodness its gorgeous. It's such a bright glowly purple with amazing pink glass fleck to it and to my eyes a pink shift which really sets this one up as a winner. I am so glad I ignored my "I hate purple" and bought this one, now that I've used it I'm sure I would have regretted not picking it up when I had he chance.

OPI Halloween Polish!

For my birthday last week one of my awesome friends got me my very first OPI Halloween kit! I've never been lucky to find these when they are released. I have no idea where she found this set I'll try to find out for you gals. Along with the Halloweeen set Sharon also got me the stunning DS Extravagance and Teenage Dream :) She knows me too well!

This one is called "Pair'em Scare'em" and comes with an OPI Black Shatter and a glow in the dark called Zom-Body To Love. I'll try to swatch it for you gals soon :)

I'm going to apologize again for falling off the face of the earth I'm trying to get back into the swing of things :)

I've had this for as long as its been out (couple years?) and just now got around to using it and I've been missing out. Its so gosh darn pretty I really did love this one and wore it for a few days. I love the silvery-gold-purple I get with this one and I think we all know I'm not a purple fan :) Now I understand what the mad rush for this polish was all about.

Sorry I've been mia for a bit, since Stu is home he tends to keep me busy. Between him and his friends I actually end up with a bit of a social life lol. I'm also trying to clean out my spare room so its actualy his room and preparing for a big blog sale. The time has come to sell some of my collection that doesn't get love and try to pay some bills off..

Opi Take The Stage--warning post with toes

Here we've got 2 coats of OPI Take The Stage. The first coat was pretty sheer but after the 2nd it was good. This reminds me of a sparkly burnt orange with some copper.

Unfortunately I'm just not feeling it, maybe I'm in a funk. I hate it when mani after mani is just blah

But my toes are adorable pink and blue alternating...and no I'm not pregnant :) these are just some cheapy no names from Hot Topic that will never go on my nails due to the horrid brush.

I love Sephora OPI, they wear really well for me and have some pretty awesome colors! I really really wish they weren't so gosh damn expensive though!

I also love red polish, its so sexy the one thing I do not like about red polish is that it tends to show tip wear quite a bit more than other colors. Do you gals experience this too?

What I do know is I put the OPI Blue Shatter over the top and it made it this awesome purple looking shade!

I've had this polish sitting in my helmer for waaay too long :) why didn't you gals to me to use it already?!? I really love the brush on the Complete Manicure as well as the formula, these wear really well for me.

2 coats of Sally Hansen Gray by Gray with one coat of Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure on my ring finger. I think the manicure probably could have done without the Hidden Treasure.

Don't you just love it when you find a new favorite in your helmer that you've just had for ages?

Wearin Pink on Wednesday ♥

I had such high hopes for this one and I just ended up completely let down :( This is 3 coats of Icing Pink Sparkle. The holo looked amazing in the bottle but was just too subtle on the nail that it was hardly noticeable.

See even with a flash the holo is hardly visible..is the black holo Icing better than this?

Gals my brain is at a loss for lyrics lately, I'll work on that :)

This one a fun mani since I haven't used Konad in quite some time! I really should use it more often considering how many plates and polishes I have for konading. I used Rimmel Black Satin as my base coat and a blue chrome unnamed polish for the stamp, I used plate M64.

I was going to use a dark gray chrome that I had but was a little worried it wouldn't show up over the black but I can't stop thinking about it which means I'm going to have to try it anyway :)

China Glaze Lighthouse

Today I've got for you ladies China Glaze Lighthouse from the Anchors Away Collection. I used 3 coats on this one and I still feel like it probably could have used a 4th. I have not decided if this one is a keeper or not, sometimes I liked it and other times it wasn't anything special.

Sometimes this one looked really yellow and other times I swear it pulled more of a yellow gold. Either or I think I need to wear it again to decide if I want to keep it or not and next time I'll try with a 4th coat of color.

Since I missed last pink Wednesday I wanted to add something a little special to this one :)

This is 2 coats of OPI Shorts Story. I was orignally going to add some nail art but it was just too pretty and glossy to ruin.

And now the something special-this is a picture I took witht he color accent on my camera a few years ago at my grandparents-now parents house. One day I'd love to get this rose tattooed on my leg but that'd be a just a little pricey so until I win the lottery the pictures will have to do. Back home we call it 7 Sisters, my grandpa picked some of this for my grandma way back when they were dating and its always bloomed by his birthday on May 18th so it holds a little special place in my heart.

I must say that I love annoying the hell out of my brother with anything polish related so the other day I made him pick out a color for me :) He thought I was quite weird when he brought me a polish and without even handing it to me I knew it was Barielle Elle's Spell..he says how do you know that?!?!

MORE FLAKIES! This is 2 coats of SH Insta-Dri in Mochachino and 1 coat of Barielle Elle's Spell. Mochachino is a shimmery dark brown in the bottle and on the nail but a coat of Elle's Spell really brings out the red in it.

As pretty as Elle's Spell is I'm not sure if its one I'll keep since it seems to have the same effect to my eyes as Nubar 2010 and SH Hidden Treasure its just in a red jelly base...

I've been picking them good lately if I do say so myself!

This is 3 coats of Claire's Venomous and its pretty freaking awesome. To me the base looks like a murky blue green with some very intense pink, purple and gold shimmer "multi"chromatic magic :) The purple tends to be more visible at home in lower light while the pink is much more visible at work under the fluorescent lights.

This is pretty pic heavy I got a little carried away!

I think you guys need all those pictures though so you can get the full affect of the awesome right?!

Well I must say Essie hit it out of the park with this lil baby! I believe this is a Wal-Mart Exclusive and even if you don't like Wal-Mart or don't shop there for whatever reason suck it up and go get this polish!

This is 2 coats of Essie Dive Bar and woowee! I did have a hard time capturing the duochrome but its very obvious in the bottle and in person you can see it pretty well especially if its sunny out. Dive Deeper is a sexy darkened black teal with some amazing blue-purple (to my eyes) duochrome goodness.

And I liked it so much I wore it for a second day! Day two I decided it would look fantastic with some Nubar 2010 over the top and I was right!

Flakies have this amazing power to make everything better than it was to begin with! And you can always click the pictures to make them better. In the bottom picture you can really see the shimmer from Dive Bar peeking through.

I used 2 coats of Sally Hansen Celeb City and one coat of China Glaze Broken Hearted Crackle and I must say its pretty awesome :)

I wore Celeb City yesterday-it wore really well and I loved it so I decided to wear it again but to put crackle over the top so I could still participate.

My brother Stu is going to be here tomorrow! We had been talking about him coming to visit and it just happened so quickly! It will be very nice to have him home with me since we've both been going through some tough things the past few months and could really use each others company..like playing Mario Kart :)

OPI Ali's Big Break and a great recipe!

I'm at a loss for a catchy lyric today and nothing is sticking out in my head for this one since normally polish reminds me of a certain song.

Today I've got OPi Ali's Big Break for you gals. I'm behind as normal for this one but dang its pretty and it was worth the wait.

I used 3 coats here, I originally did 2 but didn't like that I still had sheer spots. I love how this is a gorgeous glassy red with floating little glitters that isn't a pain to remove!

Oh and totally off subject here I made Italian Wedding Soup last night and it was simply amazing! You have go to try this recipe, I used kale instead of endive and just beef instad of a beef/pork mixture but it was still super delicious and will be come a regular for me :)

When this came out at Christmas a lot of people said that Finger Paints Winter Wishes looked a lot like sand.. and I'd have to agree!

Now I'd love this color if it wasn't so uneven gritty looking and even with 2 coats of top coat its still not my game the color shade I love but the texture just ruins it for me since I'm a smooth glassy finish type of gal.

Do you guys know of any color like this that is smooth? It really enjoy the subtle neutral look on occasion so pretty!

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that this mani is China Glaze Midnight Mission...I didn't fill it out on the spreadsheet, take a pic with the bottle or anything but I think that's what it is..it looks like it right??

What I do remember is that I really did like this polish :) So far I have been very impressed with all of the polishes from the Vintage Vixens collection.

Coheed and Cambria was fan freaking tastic! I finally used one of my Bloom polishes, it only took me a good year or so :)

This is 3 coats of Bloom Kitty, a tasty medium minty cream. I won this gem of a polish from Kitty/Katherine over at Kitty Luvs Color.

As you can tell my nails are a lot longer here, this was about 2 weeks ago...yeah I do my nails on occasion but then I'm too lazy to post...I'm always afraid to use my fancy "import" polishes cause I know once they are gone the chances of replacing them will be so slim to none. You gals do the same thing?

You know how most of our cameras don't like purples? Well mine doesn't like blue/greens either I'm learning.... It doesn't photograph China Glaze Custom Kicks for anything and it doesn't seem to like Sexy In The City either..

I hope you gals have seen this one so you know how pretty it is in real life since my picture sucks and won't capture the color correctly. It should be a much more teal green with blue in there but mine misses every bit of the teal and goes straight blue. Again sorry about the dates on the bottom but look at that I did my nails 2 times this week!

For my first Pink Wednesday I went with Sephora OPI Go With The Flow-er. I figure this will make me use a new pink every week and that's always a plus right?!

I did 2 coats of this color and wow I really shouldn't have waited so long to use it. I love how its a fish-y and pink like OPI Catch Me In Your Net even though its fish-y blue/green :) The fish looking scales in this one are a really fantastic gold and appears glass flecked too :) Its hard to capture all the glory on camera sorry gals..I don't have the skills

You can see the gold really well in the pictures that include the bottle.

Sorry about the paper cut but I am the paper cut queen and always have them on one hand or the other...and sorry about the date on the bottom I'll try to remember to turn that feature off ( I needed it for an apartment complaint).

I love these crackles cause I do a horrible job on my mani and it still looks great with the crackle covering all the blemishes :) This happened to be a perfect mani to match my gray shirt and yellow cardigan ♥

Look at that I managed to get another "tbt post" for you gals! I did this mani last Thursday but I didn't have time to get it posted. So for today we've got a very old polish! China Glaze Classic Chrome in Peel Out Passion!

These are pretty streaky and frosty and not near and "chrome/mirror" as the older Sally Hansen polishes. I thought about putting a sheer layering polish of some sort over it hoping it would hide some of the flaws even after a base coat, ridge filler and 2 coats of polish but I ended up passing on the layering. I've got a few more of these I'll eventually get around to sharing with you as well!

An experimental mani :) This mani was 2 coats of Avon Feisty and 1 coat of Pure Ice Busted along with a single rhinestone from the Born Pretty Store. I'm learning how to use the rhinestones and how they look best, I was honestly surprised that it stayed on for as long as it did though! And I hate the brush in the Avon Feisty its the most unmanageable brush I think I've ever used! Its very long and very thing with out a lot of control!

I think I did ok for just a single rhinestone ( I probably can't screw that up). I did use a rhinestone to make a pretty little flower on my pedi too but I won't torture you with feet. Tier mentioned doing a konad design and accenting with rhinestones so I'm going to try that too here shortly. Enjoy ladies.

I finally did my first pedicure of the season and went with a very nice spring-y color Sally Hansen Back to the Fuchsia :) Normally when I do my pedi's I'll do my nails the same color since it only last for a day anyway.

This color is so wonderfully bright, cheery and has an amazing blue flash to it! Now that my toes are in order I can go get a professional pedicure and just keep it up through the summer..that is if it ever warmed up here to wear sandals!

Hi ladies :) I know my posts have been pretty sporadic lately and they'll probably continue to be for a while longer. I've still got a lot going on between work and school along with attempting to put life back together after 7 years. My nail polish passion is fading in and out right now and I go with it when I can other wise I'm just getting by. Right now is a time when I actually have an interest in doing my nails so here is the first spurt.

OPI Ski Teal We Drop=Pure creamy goodness

I used 2 coats of Ski Teal We Drop and I didn't have any problems with this formula or gross cuticles after I took it off. I love creams now which is strange considering I use to hate them! Inside Ski Teal We Drop pulls very dark almost black on me but in the sun and under fluorescent lights you can see much more of the color. Any finish of polish you use to hate but now love OR loved and now can't stand?!

Freshie Fresh Pow Pow is what the weather guy called the snow at the ski resorts up here :)

Today I've got the last of the Nubar Spring Garden Collection for you ladies :)

First up is Baby Sprout..I really like this one. Baby Sprout reminds me A LOT of China Glaze Groovy Green in the sense its the washed out white green.

Next up we've got Blue Hydrangea-its a pretty vibrant blue to be pastel but its not over powering by any means and the shimmer is lovely!

My second favorite is Yellow Primrose, I don't have many yellows but this is a yellow that I just loved. Yellow Primrose reminds me a lot of custard or vanilla pudding yum! And the formula for a yellow was fantastic!

My favorite from the bunch is Earthen, I tend to be drawn to grays of any sort so it was no surprise that this was my favorite!

I used 3 coats on all of these for consistency sake with the other pictures. The formula was wonderful on all of them.

Overall I really like this collection I am normally not a fan of pastels in any fashion but I think these won me over with the shimmer and the fact that they are very clean and rich while still be subtle if that makes sense..it does in my twisted little head at least!

Nubar Spring Garden x 2 Purple Aster and Pink Lily

Today I've got 2 of the Nubar Spring Garden polishes for you! Both Purple Aster and Pink Lily have an amazing shimmer pearl finish but not "frosty" by any means!

I used 3 coats on each of these to be consistent with the other two I've already show you.

First up is Purple Aster, this purple actually photographed pretty well it wasn't even the tricky polish out of the bunch :) I love the pearl finish on this one which really gives it an extra something special.

Next up is Pink Lily and this one was tricky one. Most of my pictures completely washed out with this one and I have no idea why, I tried all sorts of light and I did manage to grab a few ones.

This Pink Lily with Dewdrop is really like Easter peeps with sugary stuff! Purple Aster is a nice purple too especially for a pastel! Both of these are definitely Spring/Easter colors unlike Honeysuckle which was much more or the standout like a summer shade!

I personally love honeysuckle, it reminds me spending summers at my grandparents house :) I would pick them off the side fence and pull out the middle and then suck out the sweet stuff yum! I have no idea if that's healthy or a bad idea but its what I did. When I think of honeysuckle I tend to think of the pretty yellow ones and I'm honestly not sure if I've ever even seen pink honeysuckles!

I used 3 coats of Honeysuckle and one coat of Dewdrop for my ringer finger. Honeysuckle had great consistency as well. At first I though eh just another pink but now that I'm wearing I like it quite a bit and matches my dress perfectly! Its actually quite vivid compared to the bottle but not neon blinding by any means which makes it perfect for spring and early summer :)

Today I've got the first color of the Nubar Spring Garden Collection. Every color in the Nubar Spring Garden Collection reminds me of Easter and Spring its quite fun!

This first color I'm going to show you gals is White Peony. I normally am not a fan of white polish it just isn't my thing but this one isn't a stark white it has a creamy off white appearance which I think makes it wearable for me as well as others.

I'm finding today the longer I wear this the more I like it :) I used 3 coats of White Peony to smooth out all streaks and one coat of Dewdrop on my ring finger. The consistency was really nice-it was just right not too thick, not too thin and not too hard to control. I really like how clean this looks which is something I'm always up for and just a little bling with Dewdrop. The ring finger reminds me of the sprinkles of sugar on peeps!

This is a classic China Glaze that I think most people get in their first few months of the addiction. I was a little behind on this one, I couldn't tell you how many times I picked up and put down Frostbite before I finally picked it up in January I think...WTH was I waiting on and going back and forth on its fan-freaking perfect!

I love how vivid this one it. For some reason it reminds me of Towel Boy Toy but better! I think it reminds me because its so vivid but I love how rich Frostbite is, it seriously glows!

This is my first mani using the water decals from Born Pretty Store and I have to say I love these decals since they are so gosh darn easy to use. I am not nail art inclined by any means and decals let me do designs I wouldn't normally do. I use to have some of these a looong time ago in jr high/high school so I'm glad they are still easy to use!

My dad picked purple when I asked him what color so my base is 3 coats of Milani Hi-Res (GORGEOUS) and a purple flower from the decals. This ended up matching my shirt perfectly! It couldn't have been any more perfect actually!

See it matches perfect huh? And look at that holo!?

The decals are very easy to use- 1. You simply cut out the design you like 2. remove the plastic covering 3. Let it soak in water for about 10-15 seconds 4. remove from the paper and place on your nail, once you have it in place you simply soak up the excess water with a paper towel or tp.

The decal doesn't add any extra height to the polish its smooth as can be. I did not seal mine with a top coat and it stayed on all day and night without any peeling, chips or scratches, you should probably put a top coat on though :) don't follow my bad example. Once I decided to take off the mani it just came right off with remover :)

easy water decals! Flowers, chubby kitty, Hello Kitty and Disney Decals. A gal at work freaked out when she seen the Disney decals and since she was leaving for Disney World this weekend I let her use them for her Disney mani :) Sorry I don't have pictures of them but I couldn't tell her no its her favorite place in the world and they are going for her birthday.

Shimmery Pink Polish, this is pretty sheer so I'm not sure it'd ever build to be opaque.

Rhinestones. Bling! Great variety of choices!

The water decals are easy for me to figure out and I'm thinking the pink polish will be used for layering but I'm at a loss for the rhinestones since I've never used them. What are some good ideas for the rhinestones gals?! And how do you suggest using these?!

Shipping was extremely fast! Jessica sent the package on Feb 17th and I received it on March 3 that's about 2 weeks. I'd say this is fast since I'm still waiting on packages to and from Slovenia since December!

Pink Flame is suppose to be another duo chrome from Nubar, I could see the duo chrome in the bottle but I had a hard time seeing on my nails :( It could be from my skin tone, the lights, the lack of sun...I have no idea. But it was gosh darn pretty!

And then I added OPI Black Shatter over it! Stunning!

So far I haven't found anything that black shatter doesn't look great over. If I find something that doesn't I'll let you know and if you find it you let me know!

I've been defeated by yet another purple...I tell ya we just don't get along between the camera and my eyes...

The infamous Nubar Peacock Feathers. I loved how blue this looked in the bottle and how it changed as I put it on to a blue-purple to straight up purple with nice greenish duo chrome.

Sorry its not quite as rich looking as it is in real life I tried but purples and I clash like oil and water. Enjoy ladies!

This polish was true love! Again I don't remember how many coats I used..thats what happens when you do your nails take pictures then wait weeks to post :) But onto the gorgeous-ness that is China Glaze Wagon Trail which is from the Rodeo Diva collection.

Please excuse the tip wear on this one :) As you can see it seems to pull really green on me, but in real life it was was a nice mix of the green and brown but more green without a doubt!

For those of you that have asked/checked up on me, thank you.

Right now its pretty much swollen puffy blood shot eyes and watching a 7 year relationship fall apart with no chance of repair..actually I think it's already been demo'd and now it's an attempt to clean up the carnage known as my broken heart.

I've always considered him my other half, always knew I loved him but I guess love isn't quite enough. I can't even imagine being as in love with someone else as I was with him or being as comfortable with someone else either. I'm beyond confused right now and I have no idea what way is up or if it'll ever stop hurting.

Thankfully I've got some wonderful friends that are doing their very best to keep me a float but nothing is helping the random out bursts of tears through out the day..fuck if I know that's really all that it comes down to. I just know I want my happy ending, my fairytale ending and I'm tired of seeing everyone else get theirs while I sit and attempt to wait patiently I am running out of time here being 27 and all that clock is ticking..

From the first time I seen this mani on a blog or MUA I have no idea where it was I've wanted to do it!

Glitter Gals Most Wanted Red was just too sexy and the most perfect color for this mani! I kept the previous mani on, then did konad in the fishnet pattern with WnW Black Creme and did my tips in Wnw Black creme with my French Tip Dip!

I am so glad that this turned out the way I had it planned! I feel in love with it as soon as I seen it and I must say its pretty gosh darn sexy :) What do you gals think?

Glitter Gal Most Wanted Red Review

The lovely Kerry at Glitter Gal was sweet enough to send me one of their new polishes Most Wanted Red from their Wanted collaboration.

This is a very gorgeous red if I do say so myself, even Stacy who isn't a red person liked this one! I had a slightly difficult time holding the brush and maneuvering since the handle is short and the bristles are long BUT the formula is very smooth and just the right consistency that I didn't make a huge mess due to a major lack of control and the polish pretty much stayed where it's suppose to stay!

All pictures are 3 coats of polish with a base and top coat! I ended up wearing this for about 3 days and it wore really well for me.

Ladies what do ya think? I do love a sexy red. I think that Most Wanted Red is a nice creamy true red and I think it'd work with most any skin tone. In some of my pictures I think it almost looks a little jelly-ish which is a nice effect as well!

I've got several Glitter Gals but I lame and I haven't wore any of them yet but if the other polishes are as lovely as this one I see more Glitter Gal in my future! Eventually I'm going to try to do a "World-ly Wednesday" theme so I can finally get around to wearing all these lovely imports!

Here we've got a bright start January off right mani! I used 3 coats of China Glaze Towel Boy Toy. I love how bright this is but it isn't blinding highlighter control air traffic bright...now don't get me wrong I love those too but this one I just feel is very vivid!

I was at Walgreen's last night getting my free Redbox movie when I seen this new WnW display! I haven't seen this one anywhere yet but then again I'm not caught up on the blogs yet! They had some boring colors and then a few stand outs too!

Hi ya'll

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa or other holiday celebration you have with your family and a superb New Year! I really hope 2011 is better than 2010, especially the last month or 2 of 2010.

I just got back from spending 2 weeks with my family in Arkansas! I had a super time, it was a well needed vacation but I hate coming back to Washington, moving home looks better each year :) I'll post some pictures for you gals eventually, AR really is a gorgeous place, especially where we live in NW AR :) I still haven't unpacked and all my stuff, its just sitting in the floor :)

I hope I kept you guys entertained enough with all the posts I had scheduled for you! I'm attempting to catch up with all of the other blogs, but close to 300 blogs and 2 weeks worth could take months! So can you gal help me with the catch up and let me know what I've missed?

Silver Bells was my inspirtation for my mani but it I ran out of steam and never got to the bells..

This is 2 coats of OPI Yoga-ta Get This Blue. I love the blue though, its dark and shimmery, its blue its black its pretty awesome.

The little shimmery bits look like they are floating! I'm sure I've said this another dozen times but I love colors that have a dark almost black base!

Gorgeous and breath taking in the bottle boring as hell on the nails! This is 2 coats of Nicole by OPI Shimmy Shimmer. I picked this one up at Ross a while back with some other black based polishes of theirs. I never seem to have much luck with their black based polishes because the duochrome/shimmer never shows up on me it just looks black on my nails.

So so pretty in the bottle why it can't look that pretty on my nails I have no idea...

I love Avon polishes! I got this pretty lil gem for my birthday back in July. Avon polishes seem to apply just like a dream, like a very pricy polish but its not! I used 3 coats of Urban Gray and then topped it off with China Glaze Wireless Hologrpahic Top Coat for a little added umph. Urban Gray has tiny lil bit of shimmer so its not stark cream, and its a little more of a white'd out gray.

Yay or Nay for you on Avon polishes? Definite Yay from me!

So first and foremost so we all know I am not a dr by any means ! And I am not giving medical advice but I wanted to tell you guys my story.

I'm sure many of you out there have stories very similar to mine:

I've never had clear skin. I've used everything under the sun from Olay, Proactive, Noxzema, Clarisonic, St. Ives, Mary Kay, Avon, Acne-Free, Carley's Clear Skin, Dessert Essence, Retin-A, Clearasil, Oxy, Derma-A, Thermaclear, .. um the list goes on and on as you know :) Some of the worked for a little while, some made it worse, Salicylic Acid shit never worked for me it always made my skin worse and then some just did nothing!

Break outs really can have an impact on ones self esteem, especially in junior high and high school when kids are so damn mean to being with. Even as an adult it hurts just as much cause I know I've thought hell I'm an adult why am I still breaking out like a teen, I deserve clear skin! I hate spending all this time putting makeup on, and I hate how it never works and my skin is oily! There have been so many times I've been jealous of those girls with gorgeous skin, felt less pretty then them and even cried over it. Ugh the curse of bad skin right...well at least if we're oily it should help us down the road with wrinkles, or so I've been told :)

About a year ago I finally took a coworkers advice and made an appointment with her dermatologist..who is know mine! It is some of the best advice I've ever taken, my skin still isn't clear but its the best its ever been in my 16 years of shitty skin! My dermatologist prescribed to me a pill called "Spironolactone" this pills originally use was for blood pressure but they found out that in low doses it helps with oil's and acne! I take a very small dose-1 100mg pill, a one month supply only costs me about $4 a month, granted that will probably vary depending on your insurance. My doctor did have me do a blood test to check my potassium levels before I started on the pill, and hey since its a diuretic...get rid of some of that excess water weight especially around period time :)

She also put on a topical treatment and later a second topical treatment to use, I use them on alternating days and only in the morning, I still suck at washing my face at night! So my two topicals are AcZone and Epiduo, you've probably see Epiduo advertised on tv. AcZone is a gel with a very gritty texture but it doesn't interfere with makeup application at all! Epiduo has some BP in it but not a drying or staining/bleaching amount. My dermatologist was able to give me discount cards for both of these so they are cheaper and a little easier to afford, usually I get 2 tubes of each product and since I alternate they last quite a long time. I want to say I pay about 30-60 each..its been so long I don't remember what I paid. I thought it was a lot at first but since its close to 6 months worth of product its not too expensive at all and if it helps my skin be clear even better! Again the price of these will probably vary depending on your insurance coverage, thankfully I have really great insurance that helps a lot!

I'm not too picky with face wash I try to use face wash without SLS, currently I use a Dessert Essence Oil cleanser and Caudalie Instant Foaming cleanser. I'm still on the search for a good moisturizer though for daytime use that doesn't mess up my makeup, usually I just put my moisturizer on at night before bed. My dermatologist also gave me a ton of samples for face wash to try as well as moisturizers.

Point is gals this is what worked for me! This is what helped to clear up my skin to a point I never thought I'd see. Its not perfectly clear, it never will be but its the best its ever been. I don't feel so self conscious about my skin anymore and no more crying! I'm still pretty red, skin tone isn't even but I can deal with that, I can deal with going out and about if its a quick trip without makeup! I don't feel like people are staring at me anymore, and I don't feel less pretty around those girls with perfect skin! I wish someone had told me about this pill years ago and I would have gone to a dermatologist sooo long ago so if I can help even one of you gals find something that works its worth it! Do your research, find out the pros and cons of these 3 prescription products, what other people have to say about them talk to your dermatologist about them , if you don't have a dermatologist..honey take the plunge and just make that appointment already.

I hope I could give some of you some insight as to some new products that might be able to help you on your quest to clear skin :) Again I'm no doctor not telling ya what to do or giving ya medical advice but it worked for me!

This is 2 coats of Golden Wine, they released this one last winter with Golden Twilight and I think Golden Nude...

You're looking at a gorgeous medium/dark red depending on the light with tons of micro red flecks and gold shimmer! Love! If you make the pics bigger you can see the red and gold flecks/shimmer much easier!

This is 2 coats of OPI Jade Is The New Black. This color was a huge hit this summer and now I can see why!

I really really love this color! It wore like iron for me for about 3 days before I got my first chip. So if you don't have this one yet gals you need to get it!

When I think about the polish I've had and that I've thrown away it makes me very uncomfortable. Thankfully I was smart enough to keep some of my older polishes specifically my Sally Hansen Prism's and Chromes.

When I was using this Sally Hansen Prisms in Diamond I noticed it was about half way empty so I must have used this one a lot back in high school or I spilled it?

What polish did you trash and regret? Or what ones have you saved and are oh so thankful for? Hell I never knew then I'd be a polish addict like I am now..I don't know what happened to me, actually Scrangie is what happened to me. I seen her swatches of the Chg OMG and I was done for the sickness started :)

Now 433 is very deceiving, its pretty in the bottle its eh it doesn't look like anything breathtaking right? Well big time WRONG! I swatched this on one finger and the first thing out of my mouth was ahhhhhh its gorgeous, it has a gorgeous gold green flash that is simply put amazing, you don't even see pink on the nail! I could honestly see myself needing another bottle of it cause it so gosh darn pretty!

Thanks to Barbara I now have all 3 of the Twilight Moonlight Collection which I never dreamed of owning! Essence Glisten Up and Choose Me are freaking cool as all get out in the bottle. The flakies in Glisten Up are stunning, they really do look like fish scales. Choose Me is just amazing, it looks fishy too and its so pretty to think we can have something that gorgeous that detailed on our nails. I haven't got to mess with the Metallics-Magnet polishes yet since this last week of school has been insane! But overall everything rocks and I love all my new pretties!

I originally passed on this color when it was first on Sephora, it just didn't quite seem like a me color. Well...then I seen Lauren's post and that was the beginning of the end for me...I bought Rumba Romance as soon as I was able and after using it, I DO NOT regret this purchase!

Now Rumba Romance is quite deceptive looking in the bottle, it took me 3 coats to build opacity. Sephora says Rumba Romance is an opaque Metallic Bronze, and you can still get it on sephoras website for $9. I used Wet N Wild Black cream for the konad stamp :)

I love it. I couldn't stop staring at these nails and a lot of people at work loved this look too. Any colors you gals originally passed on and then seen a post of and had to go out and get it?

French Tip Dip Review! PIC HEAVY

If you didn't see my previous post and video from this weekend I was messing around on youtube about a week ago and came across a video for this product the "French Tip Dip". I was intrigued to say the least, I've tried free hand, guides and even Konad for my french tips and I can never quite get the hang of it. I do ok with Konad but if my nails are too long forget it and I have a little bit of a hard time lining up the stamp with my nail. And I get quite jealous of you gals and your funky frenchs cause I know I just can't get my tips as perfect as yours!

So the French Tip Dip comes into play to hopefully ease my pains of the perfect french! The basic kit comes with everything you could need to get started. Your kit will contain the following: Amazing French Tip Dip tool, 2 dip jars, 1.12 fl. oz. white, .55 fl.oz. Sheer Genius base coat, .54 fl. oz 3 Minute Topcoat, 2 files, manicure stick, and a cute, compact almost indestructible little box to keep it all together! The 2 dip jars are glass so we shouldn't have any issues with the polish melting through, the 2 files are an emery and buffing block. I personally am going to get more jars since yes you can pour the polish out but it'd be easier to just leave it in there and have another container for red, pink and so on.

As with anything new there is a slight learning curve but its a quick one. I started playing with mine as soon as I was done with the video, I had the hang of it after just a few tries. For me it was a matter of learning how much pressure to apply, tap and pull out or just tap and lift. For my shorter nails tap and lift worked great for the longer ones tap and pull worked better for me. The French Tip Dip should work for just about every one as far as I can tell, the guide piece that goes on your nail is quite long and if you've got sexy talons like our dear Evil Angel the tap and shimmy pull method should work for you! It is a little tricky to get the tip bent/or flattened to your desired nail shape but it not too hard, my nails seem to have the same curve to all of them. I was able to use 2 of the guides for my nails, the smallest for 7 of my 10 fingers, and the next size up for my thumbs and middle finger on my right hand. The French Tip tool has 4 different size guides so you should be able to do french pedi's if your into that as well!

Left Hand with their Bright White Polish and Sheer Genius, both of these are 4 Free (contains no formaldehyde, camphor, toluene or dbp) I think my right hand turned out great, the tips are a nice bright white and looks very clean to my eye.

The right hand..now I'm not sure if you gals have the same problem I do, but the nails on my right hand just never seem to grow as well and stay as long as my left hand and I seem to lack a lot of coordination so just hang with me here..this is definitely more operator error than product error and even with my lack of coordination I can see plenty of funky french Friday's in my future lol. So back to my right hand, this is Wet n Wild Black creme with a glitter over coat, the Sheer Genius is just milky enough that it didn't look right over the black.

And last but not least just a quick photo of a two tone funky french..yes I know its waay past Halloween..

So overall I love it! I'm glad I stumbled upon this on youtube and that I can have pretty frenches now! The kit is incredibly small, this could easily go with you when you travel, its quick, easy and dries really fast. Add some pretty flower decals to your new mani, use your artdeco polishes...oh that just gave me an idea I might just add some glitter on my smile line!

Just wanted to wish all of you that celebrate Thanksgiving a very Happy and safe Thanksgiving! Enjoy all the turkey, gravy, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole and pecan pie you can stand :) Orton is having his own little Thanksgiving today too, he's having Turkey and Giblets in Gravy wet food along with his kibbles.

On a more serious note other than all the delicious food that I have to be thankful for I couldn't be thankful enough for all of my blessings.

I'm thankful for my family first and foremost, that my best friends are my brother and honey, that I'll always be daddy's little girl, that my mom will always support me, always be there for me to talk to and a shoulder to cry on.

For my Honey, I had given up on finding a nice guy and at that point we crossed paths and we've never looked back. I'm very thankful to be in love with my best friend, my other half in every sense of the way.

Our military-they give so much so that I can have the life that I do. Our military can never be repaid, thanked enough or appreciated enough for the amount that they give and their families give up on a daily basis for us.

As low as the bank account gets, it doesn't matter when all is said and done. I've got a roof over my head, my bills are paid, food in my tummy and Ortons.

I've got a job, and its a job I love. I have the best coworkers and customers a gal could ask for that never cease to make me laugh and enjoy myself.

I've got some of the best friends a gal could ask for! They love me for me and all the crazy weird quirks of me that come with it.

My sweet kitty Orton. He's be an endless source of love, companionship and entertainment since he came to my home.

My good health, having insurance and other health benefits. The good health of my family.
